The Girl and The Ghost

These two characters—The Girl and the Ghost—have followed me through years of drawing. The ghost began as a self insert, a way to process thoughts, then a friend was added, and it transform into a conversation between two parts of myself. But over time, they’ve become something else entirely: fictional, symbolic, and open-ended.

I’ve drawn them in many forms—comic panels, illustrated vignettes, silent scenes, experimental styles.

No matter how long I go without drawing, I always return to them first. They are my creative reset—my sketchbook’s oldest inhabitants and my favorite pair to explore new palettes, styles, and stories with.

This is a growing archive of their many appearances.
